If You Can Lose it All, You Can Have it All

Give me Jesus

Jesus and the Rich Young Ruler (Mark 10:17-31)

Ever felt like you have many things that money can attain, but inside, you know that there is something still missing? If so, you can relate to the young ruler in our story today. From the world’s standpoint, he had it all. Nevertheless, something about the Son of God made him painfully aware of the emptiness of riches without purpose.

Oh yes friend. It could happen to you too. You see, money is a great servant but a poor ruler. Only Christ can offer us the fulfillment of knowing that we are right in the center of our divine calling. Some of us have been so bound to the pursuit of riches that we have prevented our own metamorphosis of becoming. When God says be fruitful, He calls for the gifts and callings that he has placed within us to blossom in our lives.

For this man, his wealth had caused him to trust in riches. So Jesus asked him to give it away. I know exactly what you are thinking. And you’re wrong. God doesn’t want you broke. He wants you free. Free to become the leader, influencer and blessing that He specifically designed you to be. So the next time He asks something great of you, remember Abraham’s sacrifice and God’s reward.

This rich man came for everything but painfully walked away with nothing.

If you can stand to lose it all, you can have it all. Are you ready to have life more abundantly? I sure am. Blessings
